For the over 50's who are planning an independent lifestyle in retirement
The Darwin Branch of the Association of Independent Retirees (AIR) convenes monthly general meetings open to all. Attendance is free for members and for non-members a $5 fee applies.
AIR Darwin's first meeting in 2019 will be on Monday 11th February 5.15 for 5.30pm at the Harbourview Room, Christchurch Cathedral, 2 Smith Street, Darwin CBD.
Following the festive season this meeting will focus on Health and Wellbeing with 3 presentations on our physical wellbeing- see our future meetings page for more details.
In conjunction with AIR National, our Vice President Ken Moffitt is presenting a Seminar; Planning for Stopping Work/ Retirement- A must for those over 50 who are planning an independent lifestyle.
AIR Darwin’s monthly general meetings for members and supporters are usually held on the second Monday of each month at Christchurch Cathedral, Harbourview Room, 2 Smith Street, Darwin. These meetings involve one or two presentations each meeting from guest speakers on issues of interest to our members and community.
Arrive 5.15pm for registration and light refreshments and a prompt 5.30pm start.
A second monthly meeting is held on the fourth Monday of the month at the Trailer Boat Club, Atkins Drive, Fannie Bay. These meetings are more social in focus and provide the opportunity for smaller interest group interaction on topics such as members’ Travel Show and Tell, Investor group discussions, or Health and Legal issues.
Arrive 5.20pm for registration and prompt 5.30pm start. This meeting may be followed by drinks/dinner (optional) at the Trailer Boat Club where people can meet like minded Seniors and the Committee.
