For the over 50's who are planning an independent lifestyle in retirement
The Darwin Branch of the Association of Independent Retirees (AIR) convenes monthly general meetings open to all. Attendance is free for members and for non-members a $5 fee applies.
AIR Darwin's next meeting will be on Monday 8 July, 5.15 for 5.30pm at the Harbourview Room, Christchurch Cathedral, 2 Smith Street, Darwin CBD.
This meeting will focus on Emergency Services with presentations from
- Jeff Buteaux, St Johns Ambulance re Critical Response Unit
- Amanda Foord, NT Police Fire and Emergency Services re cyclone preparedness.
AIR Darwin’s monthly general meetings for members and supporters are usually held on the second Monday of each month at Christchurch Cathedral, Harbourview Room, 2 Smith Street, Darwin. These meetings involve one or two presentations each meeting from guest speakers on issues of interest to our members and community.
Arrive 5.15pm for registration and light refreshments and a prompt 5.30pm start.
A second monthly meeting is held on the fourth Monday of the month at the Trailer Boat Club, Atkins Drive, Fannie Bay. These meetings are more social in focus and provide the opportunity for smaller interest group interaction on topics such as members’ Travel Show and Tell, Investor group discussions, or Health and Legal issues.
Arrive 5.20pm for registration and prompt 5.30pm start. This meeting may be followed by drinks/dinner (optional) at the Trailer Boat Club where people can meet like minded Seniors and the Committee.
